Concert: Leif de Leeuw Band - The Bluesbones

For 7 years now, our festival has been giving space to European blues by inviting every year the winning band of the last ‘Swiss Blues Challenge’ and two other national winners. This year, since on Friday 18 July the Swiss Blues Challenge Final will take place in Giumaglio, with the last two Swiss winners as guests, the evening dedicated to European Blues will see two bands on stage. Opening the evening will be the Dutch Leif de Leeuw Band, finalists at the European Blues Challenge in 2015; they are the European jam band par excellence! Leif has been voted best blues rock guitarist in the Benelux six times in a row and Sem Jansen is the winner of the TV show ‘Hit the Road’. For fans of the ‘legendary’ Allman Brothers Band, the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Little Feat, Warren Haynes and his Gov't Mule, not forgetting the Clapton of Derek & the Dominos, this is a concert not to be missed.

Next up from Belgium The Bluesbones, finalists at the European Blues Challenge in 2017, are a globally acclaimed blues-rock band who have been igniting the music scene since their debut in 2011. Their unique sound has captivated audiences around the world, earning them widespread recognition and praise. With each new release, they push the boundaries of the genre and reinvent themselves, consolidating their status as pioneers of the blues-rock scene. A concert not to be missed! It will undoubtedly be a great evening of blues ‘made in Europe’.
